Agreed, the demo was disappointing. The climbing was way too simple and guided, you just had to hold the stick in the direction of the next shiny thing and press x to go trhrough most of the level. The combat was easy, maybe because it's the beggining of the game and you don't have many abilities, and there were few enemies. And the gameplay kept being interrupted by short sequences. It tlooked good pretty though.
Can't wait for emo Ryu.
Okami should be first, God of War II second.
Did anybody read what he said?: "What we’re not going to do is take anything away from players that they used to get today for the price they get it for today. I don’t think that would be a good and smart business decision."
So he is clearly saying that they're trying to offer new things people would be willing to pay for, and not puting a pay wall on what we already have. If they did though, there'd be almost no value in an Xbox Live Gold membership.
What's amazing is that with all the Kinect games thay announced they didn't play any of them live.
I remember when that trailer was released I thought it was completely on purpouse, why would they otherwise stretch it for like 4 minutes, and what about that crotch close up around 3:20.
I love how some people complaint that they barely use their Wii because of all the shovelware and then talk about replacing it with Move. The Wii atleast has a few outstanding titles plus the Gamecube library. As of now there are no quality titles for Move, so for hardcore gamers there's no real good reason to get it. Really if I never use my Wii because I can't stand all those minigame compilations then why would I spent more money just to buy a next-gen version?
Having a PC and a PS3, I'm pretty much covered on all the next gen games. I would still buy a 360 to play Halo if they were to drop the subscription fee though.
cero pesos
Okami is actually better than all the Zeldas since Ocarina.
I didn't mind the controls but out of the 6 main Zelda games is one of my 2 least favourites with Majora's Mask. It' didn't look that good, too many low res textures, the music was midi, the story was not all that engrossing, and the wolf parts were a bit annoying.
I love games that make you think but I found the first one a bit too easy. So I'm hoping the second one is harder.
No Guilty Gear?
God of War III, Starcraft II, Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy XIII were all more anticipated than Halo Reach. Maybe if they stopped releasing Halo games every year it would be.
I remember checking alexa a few years ago and seeing gamespot on top of ign, then I checked again about a year ago and gamespot was still on top, also if you compare them on the site (which seems to be able to go back up to 2 years)you see that gamespot was always a bit ahead. So it's not really news, no research seems to have gone into this article.
I hope they do stick to Okami for 2006, the game deserves it. Oblivion would be an acceptable alternative though, but I'd be disappointed if they choose Zelda or Gears.
A bit disappointed they didn't give nº1 to metroid prime, I thought it was a given. Good list otherwise, I'm particularly happy about Eternal Darkness being there.
Good choice for 1, gta3 deserves it. I wonder if they'll stick to their most recent GOTYs.
It's a bad idea, I hope it doesn't happen. It would damage the fiction in both franchises and I don't think Konami would like to put MGS at the same level that Splinter Cell.
It should be:
5- The Last Guardian
4- LittleBigPlanet
3- God of War III
2- Uncharted 2
1- Metal Gear Solid 4
